NEW Pictures of the S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla (1995)

Bandai Tamashii Nations just announced the next entry into the S.H. MonsterArts line after this September's King Ghidorah, Godzilla (1995), better known as Burning Godzilla! The sculpt is completely NEW and not a remold of the previous Godzilla release. The orange patches as well as his dorsal plates are all translucent. It will also be packed in with miniature DAG-MB96s, and MBT-92s (loaded with ULT Missile Launchers). This figure will be released this coming November!

  2. BTW do you think this new design looks better than these old "prototype" shots?

To be honest i quite liked the old build more, the new one is a bit too bulky for my tastes

    1. I actually disliked the old prototype. It essentially was just a redeco of the already existing S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla and was still somewhat inaccurate of the suit shown in Godzilla vs. Destoroyah despite the fact that it was the same suit from Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla. The bulkiness on the upcoming figure is pretty spot on as to screen accurateness, as well as the white spines down the tail. All in all, I prefer the new version over the original prototype shown more than a year ago. I give kudos to Tamashii Nations and Yuji Sakai for not being lazy and actually doing a new mold for the 1995 Godzilla. I appreciate that Bandai finally can now release a Burning Godzilla figure with the CORRECT dorsal plate arrangement. I have been so sick of them not catching that flaw with their vinyl figures of the design where they keep using the spines of the 92/93/94 Godzilla.

  3. Another thing that bothers me are the thick claws on his fingers and their yellowish color.

They just seem off, especially compared to his foot claws

    1. For me, I can easily look past the claws. However, this is only the prototype, so maybe, just maybe, they'll change it up for the actual figure's release. But, if not, it won't be the end of the world.
