X-Plus Anguirus Shipped!

Got notice this morning that my X-Plus Toho Large Monsters Series Anguirus 1968 has finally shipped out! Both it, and my Godzilla 1968 are currently in transit for Guam as we speak! I should be expecting to pick these two up at the post office on Tuesday morning at this rate.

Replacement

For those unaware of the situation, my S.H. MonsterArts King Ghidorah's wing has snapped off due to the poorly designed hinged joint system connecting the wing to the main body. I tried reattaching it with Gorilla Glue, but it turns out that it was a temporary solution - the wing fell off after one day of successfully staying on.

As much as I may regret it, I went along and bought a second one, this time through HobbyLink Japan. I should expect it in a week or two. Hopefully this one will last. I intend to pose it once, and leave it be. I'd hate this one to suffer the same breakage that my first one did.

For those who are thinking or already acquiring the S.H. MonsterArts King Ghidorah, be warned!

The wings on the figure are extremely fragile, especially the hinged joint at the base. Excessive handling of the wings may cause them to snap off without warning! Be wary of this fact when handling the figure. The right wing on mine broke, but I have since reattached it with Gorilla Glue. It looks as good as new, but articulation was totally sacrificed.

So please, be absolutely careful for those who are getting this figure.
